Introducing Emeril's One-Pot Bloggers

When I got into this One-Pot Blogger Party for Emeril's new book, Sizzling Skillets and Other One-Pot Wonders, I signed up for it just to see if they would pick me. And I figured that if I was picked, I'd deal with the consequences later - like the need to post at least 3 posts a week about the book.

What I didn't (completely) expect was the cool community of food bloggers that immediately started supporting one another with tweets, links, and emailed recipes when one blogger's cookbook got lost in shipment.

Sure, we all want to promote our own blogs, get some traffic, and when it's all over with, get some extra swag for participating. But it's more than that.

Okay, it's also cool when Emeril tweets about a post. Or when a post is on his Facebook page. Or when you notice that other people have shared and re-shared what you posted.

I've been involved in other little blogger groups, and I've seen the same sort of little community spring up. And each time it happens, I'm amazed at what a great place the blogger community is. I've got all the bloggers listed in my sidebar, but maybe it's time for a more formal (and more visible) introduction.

My new friends' blogs, in no particular order, are:

Bite and Booze and on Facebook here.
Just off the Red Streetcar Line and on Facebook here.
Diabetic Foodie and on Facebook here.
Tracey's Culinary Adventures and on Facebook here.
The Boys Made Me Do It! and on Facebook here.
Mommy Hates Cooking and on Facebook here.
Farmgirl Gourmet and on Facebook here.
Cajun Chef Ryan and on Facebook here.
Savoring Today and on Facebook here.
Not Rachael Ray and on Facebook here.
Miss in the Kitchen and on Facebook here.
30AEATS and on Facebook here.
Foodhunters Guide to Cuisine and on Facebook here.
Thyme in our Kitchen and on Facebook here.
Cooking with Books and on Facebook here.
Goov-y Foody and on Facebook here.
Manges! Mangi! and on Facebook here.
The Wicked Noodle and on Facebook here.
Tara the Foodie and on Facebook here.

And of course, Emeril's publishing company is behind all this fun, supporting cookbook authors with The Secret Ingredient blog, tweeting as MorrowCooks, and running a Facebook page.

If you're reading this blog, you probably like cooking (I mean, really, if you were looking for information on model railroads, you followed the wrong link!) so maybe you might want to visit my fellow bloggers. And we all love cookbooks, right? And many bloggers dream of having a cookbook published some day. Wouldn't it be great to be published by a company that gives this much support to its authors? And particularly its cookbook authors. So go visit them, too.

And yes, we all got stuff for our participation. We got stuff for us, and stuff to give away. (Click the link for the whole explanation.) But it's not about the stuff for me, any more. It's about meeting more foodie-blogger-online friends and having some fun cooking the same things in our kitchens.

So hang around, visit the other bloggers, check out the #sizzlingskillets hashtag, and then come back here and see what I'll be giving away. You like giveaways, right? Hint: check the sidebar, up-top, for stuff I'm currently giving away.
