Chef Fabio: the wrap-up

This past week, Virtual Potluck teamed up with Bertolli, and they gave us exclusive access to some of Chef Fabio Viviani's recipes. (Yes, that Chef Fabio.)

We each chose a recipe without telling anyone else in the group what we were making, and we got a pretty good variety of recipes.

The recipe for flank steak with pineapple salsa  proved popular, and I think you'll like it too. Three of us made that recipe, but of course the results aren't completely identical. But all good. Check it out - you'll see!

Did you have a chance to visit all the blogs and see all the recipes? Here they are:

Heather at Farmgirl Gourmet made Grilled Pork Chops with Apple Parmesan Salad:

Jay at Bite and Booze  made Grilled Jumbo Louisiana Shrimp with Tomatoes:

Marnely at  Cooking with Books made Classic Olive Oil Cake With Blueberry Marmellat:

Matt at Thyme in our Kitchen made Flank Steak with Pineapple Salsa:

Milisa at Miss in the Kitchen made Heirloom Tomato Soup with Shrimp & Avocado:

And here's a little reminder about what Bertolli has for you:

The Let’s Cook Summer Sweepstakes (launched June 15) is a Facebook-based sweepstakes that celebrates the tastes of summer and offers prizes to help at-home cooks discover where flavor comes from.

The Grand Prize is a trip for four to Los Angeles for a one-on-one cooking lesson with Chef Fabio Viviani, or $5,000 for a kitchen makeover. Not bad, eh?

But that's not all! (Sorry, I've seen a few too many infomercials lately.) There are other prizes like Bertolli Olive Oils and Bialetti cookware. The Let’s Cook Summer Sweepstake is hosted on Facebook at Facebook.com/Bertolli.

WhereFlavorComesFrom.com is a brand new site dedicated to summer grilling. You can download the free Let’s Cook! app, available for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, with more than five hours of exclusive step-by-step cooking videos with Chef Fabio Viviani.

Thanks to Bertolli for sponsoring us and to Chef Fabio for sharing his recipes!
